KODIAK, Alaska - A Coast Guard Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Kodiak rescued four men from the fishing vessel Laura after it ran aground on the south end of Long Island, six miles east of Kodiak Monday morning.

All four fishermen on board were hoisted by the Jayhawk crew and returned to Kodiak.

The fishing vessel Laura was refloated at 2:05 p.m. Monday by efforts from the fishing vessel Golden Fleece and the Kodiak King. (Official Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer Daniel Jarrett)
