JUNEAU, Alaska - The crew aboard the Petersburg-based buoy tender Elderberry set buoys Tuesday marking the onset of spring and the return of the recreational boating season in the Gastineau Channel here. The seasonal buoys mark potential hazards and aid boaters in navigation. The buoys will be removed at the conclusion of the summer boating season.
